1998 1 Oz Rotary Club Arizona Diamondbacks Round BU

The Phoenix Arizona Rotary Club commissioned this round to celebrate the inaugural season of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Solid copper rounds were also produced with this design. The mint and mintage are unknown, but the round bears a 3-digit serial number on the edge. 

Obverse: The central image on the obverse depicts the spoke and gear logo of the Rotary Club. Inscribed above the logo is the name "ROTARY CLUB NO. 100". The lower inscription identifies the city of "PHOENIX, ARIZONA". 

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the Arizona Diamondbacks logo. A banner above the logo states "1998 INAUGURAL SEASON".  Text at the top reads "ARIZONA MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL". The trademark and logo of the MLB is located at the bottom right of the logo. The weight and composition of "ONE TROY OZ .999 FINE SILVER" is micro-inscribed at the lower left. 

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a flat surface at the bottom of the round which contains a 3-digit serial number.
