Heraeus
Heraeus, the technology group headquartered in Hanau, Germany, is a leading international family-owned portfolio company. The company’s roots go back to a family pharmacy started in 1660. Today, the Heraeus group includes businesses in the environmental, electronics, health and precious metals sectors. Customers benefit from innovative technologies and solutions based on broad materials expertise and technological leadership.
The Heraeus Precious Metals division is a leading provider of precious metals services and products. They provide comprehensive expertise throughout the precious metals loop – from trading to precious metals products to recycling. In the industry, they are one of the world’s largest refiners of platinum group metals (PGMs) and a leading name in industrial precious metals trading. Their precious metals products are used in a wide variety of industries, including the chemical, pharmaceutical, glass, electronics and automotive industries.
Heraeus bullion is highly regarded by those who invest in physical precious metals. However, private customers cannot buy precious metal bullions directly from Heraeus. They only sell to banks, savings banks and leading precious metal traders throughout Germany. Their bullion products are primarily bars made of gold, platinum, palladium, or silver. The silver bar offerings range in size from 1oz to 250g (minted) and 250g to 15kg (cast). The purity of all the silver bars is 99.99%. Serial numbers are stamped on bar sizes from 1kg upwards. To date, Heraeus has only produced one round, a 1 Oz round available in both gold and silver.
