1989 1 Oz Fairfield Credit Life Round BU

Not much is known about the company which commissioned this round. This round may be related to a golf tournament. There is at least one other round dated 1989 that seems to have ties to this one. That round is a Fairfield Homes Golden Triangle Award. It bears the same Morgan motif on the reverse. Perhaps this round celebrated the tournament and the other one was given as an award.  The mint and mintage are both unknown. The round is uncommon.

Obverse: The obverse design features the text "FAIRFIELD CREDIT LIFE 50/50'S CLASSIC". Surrounding the central text is the text "FAIRFIELD COMMUNITIES" at the top. The date "1989" is located at the bottom. 

Reverse: The central design on the reverse is a replica of Lady Liberty from the Morgan dollar. The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" is denoted at the top while the purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" is found at the bottom. Three stars separate the two inscriptions. The initials "OC" are inscribed above the "E" in "FINE".
