1993 1 Oz Silver Card Ed Delahanty Round BU

In 1992 and 1993, The Money Co. commissioned and issued a series of rounds celebrating baseball greats. Approximately 10 to 12 rounds were issued, including the players Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Satchel Paige, and Shoeless Joe Jackson. Each round was embedded in a card titled "Silver Card" that contained facts about the player. Mintages ranged from 4,500 to 10,000. The mint that produced the series is unknown. 

Obverse: The obverse features an image of Ed Delahanty in a baseball cap facing slightly to the left. Arching above the image is the inscription "BIG ED DELAHANTY". The lower inscription reads "KING OF SWAT". 

Reverse: The reverse contains the common obverse of the series. An inner circle contains the inscription "THE WORLDS PREMIER SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT COIN" and the phrase "LIMITED EDITION". The name of the series "SILVER CARD" is located at the top while the weight and composition of "ONE OZ. .999 PURE SILVER" can be found at the bottom.
