1988 1 Oz Georgia Bicentennial Round PF

Part of a set of state bicentennial rounds.

Obverse: The central feature of the obverse is a map of the state of Georgia. The dates "1788" and "1988" are inscribed on either side of the map.  The upper inscription denotes the state name "GEORGIA" while the lower inscription reads "CENTENNIAL".

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the state flower, the Cherokee Rose, depicted inside of a circle. The name of the flower is inscribed in the ring encircling the flower. The motto "PEACH STATE" and the phrase "ATTAINED STATEHOOD JANUARY 2, 1788" are inscribed below the flower. Sheaves of wheat decorate the lower left and lower right borders. In between is a banner which bears the inscription "4th STATE". A micro-inscription of the weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OZ .999 FINE SILVER" can be found at the lower left.

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a flat space at the top which contains the 4-digit serial number formatted as "S/NO XXXX".
