1993 1 Oz Sam Boyd Sam's Town Round BU

This round appears to be part of a set that also had a 2 Oz round with a similar design.  It commemorates Sam Boyd, the gambling magnate.  The mint which produced the round is unknown and the round is dated 1993  although it is probably from a little later than that. The round has a mirrored finish.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is an engraving of Sam Boyd facing slightly left and wearing a large cowboy hat..  Above the central image is the name "SAM BOYD" while below it are the dates "1910-1993".

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a stagecoach pulled by four horses. An outer circle bears the weight inscription of "ONE TROY OUNCE" and the purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" at the top. The inscription at the bottom reads "SAM'S TOWN".
