The mint and mintage for this round are unknown. However, the design is similar to a 5 Oz round produced by Draper Mint. At present, there is insufficient evidence to link its production to Draper Mint conclusively. The round is uncommon.
Obverse: The obverse depicts a raised design of a Minuteman with his rifle at the ready. An eagle and the American flag provide the backdrop. The upper text arching across the top reads "THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS". A single word, "COMMEMORATIVE" is inscribed at the bottom.
Reverse: The reverse contains an image of the United States Bill of Rights, which reads "THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED". A quill and inkpot are depicted below. The outline of the White House is shown at the left, while the year "1789" is inscribed on the right. The year of issue "1974" is located at the top. The weight and composition of "ONE TROY OUNCE 999 FINE SILVER" is found along the lower rim.
