1983 1 Oz Parliament Shield Round BU

Obverse: The obverse features a patriotic image of a bald eagle with banner and thirteen stars. The upper inscription reads "PARLIAMENT" and is completed by the lower inscription of "SHIELD". The eagle splits the date with two digits to the left and two to the right.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the common motif of trade unit scales. A plain banner with a star above it is located above the scales. Below the scales is a weight inscription of "31.1 GRAMS". The outer circle bears weight, fineness, and content inscriptions with the upper inscription of "ONE TROY OUNCE" and the lower inscription of ".999 FINE SILVER". Sheaves of wheat decorate both sides of the outer circle.
