1991 1 Oz Persian Gulf Victory Sniper Round PF

This medallion is part of a set of 3 issued to commemorate the victory in the Persian Gulf. The three rounds have the same reverse but the obverses differ. One depicts a sniper, a second depicts a fighter plane, and the third shows the image of an Apache helicopter. Each round was minted from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver with a proof finish.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is a sniper aiming. The entire background depicts the American Flag. The upper inscription states "PERSIAN GULF VICTORY" while the lower one gives the date of "FEB 27, 1991".

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is an eagle with a wing curved around the American flag. The upper inscription reads "AGGRESSION IS DEFEATED". No weight, purity, or content is inscribed on the round.
