Description
This round was commissioned by the Curry Company in 1990 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Yosemite National Park. Two rounds were minted, with the other one depicting the naturalist John Muir. The mint producing the rounds is unknown, but the production was limited to 10,000 for each round.
Obverse: The obverse illustrates a panoramic view of Yosemite National Park. No text is present on the obverse.
Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a woodland scene with a buck in the foreground. Encircling the image is the text "YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK CENTENNIAL" along with the dates "1890" and "1990".
