1974 1 Oz Commonwealth Silver Exchange Round BU

Obverse: The obverse depicts a farmer harvesting wheat with a scythe. A farmhouse can be seen in the background. A variety of phrases surround the central image including: "EINSILBER ARGENT PUR PLATA PURA" along the the composition of "1 TROY OUNCE 999 FINE SILVER". The upper inscription reads "THE COMMON WEALTH OF THE NATIONS" which is matched by the lower inscription of "SILVER EXCHANGE". The date "1974" is micro-inscribed at the bottom.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a map of the globe. Circumscribing the central image are the phrases "INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE UNIT" at the top and the weight of "1 TROY OUNCE" at the bottom. Heads of wheat separate the two inscriptions.
