2012 1 Oz Year of the Dragon Enameled Round BU

Issued to celebrate the 2012 Lunar Year of the Dragon. The mint and mintage for this round are unknown. Very few rounds were issued with the enameled finish.

Obverse: The obverse depicts a left-facing fire-breathing dragon. The date "2012" and the phrase "YEAR OF THE DRAGON" are inscribed below the central image. The field is black while the dragon is brightly colored with red, yellow, and orange. The color contrast and enameling makes the dragon stand out as the central feature.

Reverse: The reverse depicts the Chinese character representation of the phrase "YEAR OF THE DRAGON".. The weight and composition of "1 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" is found at the bottom.
