Whites Electronics was one of the largest players in the metal detecting business. In 1991, they commissioned a silver round to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. The mint and mintage are unknown, but the rounds are scarce.
Obverse: The obverse depicts the left-facing busts of the founders of Whites Electronics, Kenneth G. White and Kenneth R. White. The date of the company's establishment, "1951" is inscribed to the right. The phrase "PIONEERS IN ELECTRONIC TREASURE HUNTING" arches above the central image while their names are inscribed below.
Reverse: The reverse features the logo for White's Electronics. The upper inscription reads "THE WORLD'S FINEST METAL DETECTOR". A lower inscription reads "WHITE'S ELECTRONICS INC, SWEET HOME, OREGON". The weight and composition of "1OZ .999 FINE SILVER" are inscribed immediately above the lower inscription.
