Description
Issued to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The issuing mint is unknown. The mintage is also unknown, but the edge bears a 5-digit serial number. Less than 10,000 were likely minted.
Obverse: The central image on the obverse is a close-up map of Pearl Harbor with Ford Island featured prominently in the harbor. The upper inscription reads "50TH ANNIVERSARY" while the lower one bears the dates "1941-1991". The inscription specifying the weight, purity, and content of "1 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" is located below the ship.
Reverse: The reverse depicts the USS Arizona emitting smoke after having been bombed. The inscription along the upper rim reads "PEARL HARBOR". The date "DEC 7, 1941" is inscribed at the bottom.
Edge: The edge is reeded except for a smooth surface on the right bearing a 5-digit serial number.
