1991 1 Oz Pearl Harbor Commemorative Round PF

The issuing mint for this piece is unknown but it was also made in a 16 AVDP Oz. size (roughly 14.6 Troy Oz).

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is the USS Arizona emitting smoke after having been bombed. Two airplanes fly overhead as the sun with its rays dips below the horizon. The inscription along the outer edge reads "PEARL HARBOR 1941-1991". The inscription denoting the weight, purity, and content of "1 TROY OZ. .999 SILVER" is located below the ship.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a map of the state of Hawaii. The inscription along the outer edge reads "A DAY THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY" along with the date "DECEMBER 7, 1941". Inner inscriptions bear the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "U.S.S. ARIZONA MEMORIAL". Nine stars are strategically placed to the top and left of the state map.
