Amerock is a decorative cabinet hardware company that has been in existence since 1926. This round was given out as an incentive during the 1982 True Value Hardware member's buying convention in Chicago, Illinois. Very rare!
Obverse: The central feature on the obverse is the logo for the company "AMEROCK" superimposed on a wire frame globe. Encircling the globe is the text which reads "THE LEADER IN FINE DECORATIVE HARDWARE". The initials "DSM" are located immediately below the globe.
Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the trade unit scales, a common motif found on many trade unit silver rounds. Sprigs of ivy flank the scales to either side. The inscription located at the top bears the weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" and directly below that the weight of "31.1 GRAMS". The bottom inscription reads "SILVER TRADE UNIT". The content and purity of ".999 FINE SILVER" are inscribed immediately below the scales.
