1991 1 Oz Merck 100th Anniversary Round PF

This medallion was commissioned by Merck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the company. Minted from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, this limited-edition medallion was minted in a proof finish.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is the number 1 with the company name "MERCK" superimposed on it. Below the name are five stars. The following inscriptions surround the outer edge. "MERCK & CO., INC" is located at the top and the phrase "AMERICA'S MOST ADMIRED COMPANY, A RECORD FIFTH STRAIGHT YEAR" is inscribed along the bottom.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a line of text that reads "MERCK / A CENTURY OF VALUES AND VISION / 100". The weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" is inscribed at the top while the dates "1891 - 1991" are located at the bottom.
