Description
Alabama Gold Refinery is a jewelry shop located in Birmingham, Alabama. They began operations in 2011. This is an advertising round produced by a private mint. The mint, date of issue, and mintage are unknown.
Obverse: The central image is an eagle decorated with the American flag. The upper inscription bears the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" while the lower inscription states "1 OZ OF FREEDOM".
Reverse: The reverse features the logo from Alabama Gold Refinery. The logo contains the letters "AGR" inside of a circle. The outer circle contains the company name with the words "ALABAMA" at the top and "GOLD REFINERY" at the bottom. The upper and lower inscriptions are separated by a five-pointed star on either side. The purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" are located underneath the letters "AGR".
