Description
Obverse: The obverse depicts an eagle carrying a flag in its beak. Stars decorate the space above the central image. Interlocking sprigs of ivy decorate the bottom edge underneath the eagle. No text is present on the obverse.
Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the trade scales, an image found on many trade unit silver rounds. The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" is inscribed at the top. Immediately above the scales the additional weight of "31.1 GRAMS" can be found. Directly below the scales is an inscription denoting the purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER". The phrase "SILVER TRADE UNIT" can be found on the outer circle below the inscription containing the purity.
