1 Oz Allosaurus Dinosaur Round BU

This round is one of a set of six silver rounds entitled "The Dinosaur Collection".  The six dinosaurs featured in the set were Ornithomimus, Diplodocus, Triceratops, Allosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, and Stegosaurus.  Each round features a picture of the dinosaur on the obverse and text which describes the dinosaur on the reverse. The mint for the rounds is unknown.

Obverse: The central image is a picture of an Allosaurus walking along a path.  The name "ALLOSAURUS" is inscribed underneath the dinosaur to the lower left.  

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is text describing the Allosaurus.  The text reads "A 35' LONG 3 TON MEAT-EATING THERAPOD THAT LIVED DURING THE LATE JURASSIC OF WESTERN NORTH AMERICA AND AFRICA SOME 150 MILLION YEARS AGO".  Above the central inscription is the name "ALLOSAURUS".  The weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" is inscribed at the bottom.
