Description
The Strategic Silver Fund is a company based in Texas with roots in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The company began operation in 1984. Little is known about the focus of the company but at some point it commissioned a 1 Oz advertising round. The motif on the round is the Statue of Liberty and it appears to be from the 1980s. The mint and mintage are unknown but it is uncommon.
Obverse: The obverse depicts the Statue of Liberty with her raised torch. The phrase "GOD * FAMILY * COUNTRY" is inscribed along the top. The lower inscription reads "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".
Reverse: The reverse contains the logo of Global Bullion. The logo is an award ribbon. In the center of the ribbon is a circle containing a precious metal bar. Surrounding the bar is the name of the company "STRATEGIC SILVER FUND, INC". The upper inscription on the round also bears the name of the company. An inscription denoting the weight and composition of "ONE TROY OZ .999 SILVER" is located at the lower left. The lower inscription states "THE STRATEGIC FAMILY OF FUNDS".
