Busch Gardens in Tampa commissioned exclusive rounds to sell in its gift shops. The first offering from 1987 was the Giant Panda. It was limited to a mintage of 5,000. This was followed by the Lowland Gorilla in 1992 with a mintage of 10,000. The mint for these rounds is unknown.
Obverse: The obverse depicts a giant panda sitting on the ground eating eucalyptus leaves. The organization's name, "BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA" is inscribed to the left.
Reverse: The reverse depicts the logo of Anheiser-Busch, the owners of Busch Gardens. The name "GIANT PANDA" arches across the top with the dates "1987-1988" found immediately below. The weight and composition of "1 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" is found at the bottom.
Edge: The edge is reeded except for a flat surface at the bottom bearing a 4-digit serial number.
