Obverse: The central image is a flying eagle with olive branches and arrows in its claws. The phrase "AMERICAN EAGLE" is inscribed above the eagle. The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE"  is on the left while the purity and composition of ".999 FINE SILVER" can be found on the right.  

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the trade scales, a common motif found on many trade unit silver rounds. The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE / 31.1 GRAMS" is inscribed above the scales and the composition of ".999 FINE SILVER" is located beneath them.  THe outer rim is decorated with 15 stars.
