Fluor has been in operation as a company since the 1910s. Its primary line of business is large-scale industrial construction. The company merged with the Daniel corporation in the late 1970s and became known as Fluor Daniel at that time. It does not currently have a Plastics Business Unit, but did at one time. The unit celebrated its continuous performance improvement with a silver round. Although undated, rounds of this type were often minted in the 1990s. The mint and mintage of this round is unknown, but it is seldom seen.
Obverse: The obverse features the logo of Fluor Daniel, a design incorporating the letters "F" and "D". The company's name, "FLUOR DANIEL" is engraved at the top, while "PLASTICS BUSINESS UNIT" is located at the bottom.
Reverse: The reverse depicts a logo with the letters "CVA" representing continuous improvement in value awareness. The upper inscription reads "CONTINUOUS PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT" while the lower one states "VALUE AWARENESS".
