2001 1 Oz SilverTowne 1958 Ford Thunderbird Round BU

In 2001, Ford commissioned Silvertowne to produce several series of commemorative rounds featuring Ford automobiles throughout the years. Some of the series included classic cars, muscle cars, and the Ford Thunderbird. Although the mintage of the rounds is unknown, all are considered uncommon.

Obverse: The obverse features a Ford Thunderbird from 1958. The name "THUNDERBIRD" arches across the top with the year listed below. The Ford logo is located above the image of the car. 

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the thunderbird logo, an eagle with extended wings. An upper inscription reads "FORD" and is completed by the lower inscription of "THUNDERBIRD". The weight and composition of  "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" can be found immediately above the lower inscription.
