1994 1 Oz SilverTowne Winter FUN Show Coin Convention Round BU

Each year, the Florida United Numismatists (F.U.N.) hosts two coin shows in Orlando, Florida. The winter show in early January is one of the larger coin shows in the United States. For many years, the F.U.N. show has created medallions to give to the officers, judges, volunteers, and exhibitors who worked to make the show a success. Mintages for the medallions for the early years were 125. In the mid-2000s, mintages were increased to 150. Sometime around 2014, two designs were created, one for the officers and volunteers and one for the exhibitors. SilverTowne minted the medallions through the mid-2000s, and Highland Mint has minted them since then. None of the medallions were sold; they were only earned or given out as rewards. Due to the low mintages, these rounds are extremely rare and rarely seen.  

Obverse: The obverse depicts an outlined map of Florida and the United States. The letters "FUN" are imposed on the maps. The organization's name, "FLORIDA UNITED NUMISTATISTS, INC." arches across the top, while the year "1955" is inscribed at the bottom. 

Reverse: The reverse features the common reverse on all FUN Show rounds, the dates and location of the convention. The text reads "F. U. N. 39TH ANNUAL CONVENTION ORLANDO, FL. JAN. 6,7,8,9". The location of the event "ORANGE COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER" arches across the top, while the date "1994" is inscribed at the bottom. 

Edge: The edge is smooth. The composition of "FS 999" is inscribed at the bottom.
