2001 1 Oz Highland Mint Statue of Liberty Round PF

Issued as a standalone commemorative honoring the events of 9/11. Minted with a proof finish and harder to find.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse bears the image of the Statue of Liberty. She is looking slightly to the left and a portion of her raised arm with the torch is visible. The word "LIBERTY" is located within the rays of her tiara. 

Reverse: The central feature of the reverse is text describing the torch of the Statue of Liberty. Four smaller images represent events relating to 9/11. The images bear the titles "SHANKSVILLE, PA", "OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM", GROUND ZERO", and "PENTAGON". An upper inscription reads "LET FREEDOM RING". 

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a smooth surface at the bottom.  No inscriptions are present on the un-reeded portion.
