2000 1/4 Oz Continental Coin Y2K Round BU

Only fractionals known to have been issued by Continental Coin.

Obverse: The design on the obverse was taken from the "Walking Liberty" design by Adolph A. Weinman, and is used for the American Silver Eagle. It depicts a full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Above the image "LIBERTY" is inscribed and the phrase "IN GOD WE TRUST" can be found in smaller letters to the right. The date of issue "2000" is located beneath the image

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the phrase "Y2K" sandwiched between four lines above it and four below. The lines are unequal length with the longest ones closest to the phrase and the shortest ones farther away.  Above the central image is the purity, weight, and content of "QUARTER OZ . 999 SILVER". Three stars on each side decorate the outer edge to the left and right of the central phrase. Beneath the phrase is the motto "GENUINE VALUE" which is separated by the overlapping mint mark "CC".
