1990 1 Oz Hutt River Province Koala Round BU

This round was "legal" tender in the autonomous zone of Hutt River Province. The coin was minted with a proof-like finish.

Obverse: The obverse design depicts a mother koala climbing a branch.  She is carrying her joey on her back. The upper inscription reads "ONE SILVER KOALA" while the lower one states "AUSTRALIA'S TEDDY BEAR". The date can be found at the lower right. 

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a koala sitting on a tree branch. Tow kangaroos can be seen hopping in the background. The upper inscription bears the name of the autonomous zone of "HUTT RIVER PROVINCE". The denomination of "FIVE DOLLARS" is located at the bottom. The upper inscription reads "HUTT RIVER PROVINCE" while the lower one bears the denomination of "TEN DOLLARS". The weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OZ .999 SILVER" can be found underneath the branch.
