1990 1 Oz Knights of Momus Doubloon BU

The Knights of Momus was founded in 1872 and was the second-oldest parading Old Line Krewe in the New Orleans Carnival. The theme in 1990 was a visit to the aquarium.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is two fish wearing crowns. The inscription at the top reads "MOMUS VISITS THE AQUARIUM" and the date "1990" can be found at the bottom. 

Reverse: The reverse features the insignia of the Knights of Momus.  The insignia depicts a knight in full regalia on horseback.  The banner above the knight reads "KNIGHTS OF MOMUS". The organization's slogan of "DUM VIVIMUS VIVAMUS" is inscribed on a banner at the bottom. 

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a flat surface at the TOP which bears the purity and content of ".999 FS".
