1990 1 Oz Enviromint Georgia Tech National Champs Round PF

Minted by Chicagoland Processing Corporation (CPC), which held MLB and NFL rights for commemorative medals during that era. Issued to commemorate the controversial split NCAA football championships in 1990. The AP Poll selected Colorado (11-1-1) while the UPI Poll chose Georgia Tech (11-0-1). 

Obverse: The obverse design features the Georgia Tech logo. A menacing yellowjacket (the Georgia Tech mascot) stares menacingly and slams its fist menacingly atop the "T" in "GT". The name "GEORGIA TECH" arches across the top. 

Reverse: The reverse features the letters "GT". The name "GEORGIA TECH" is inscribed above the letters. Underneath the central image is a banner with a 4-digit serial number. The phrase "LIMITED EDITION" is inscribed underneath the banner. The phrase "1990 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS" is inscribed around the outer rim.
