1992 1 Oz Enviromint Indian Chief Round BU

Minted by Chicagoland Processing Corporation (CPC). An uncommon offering from Environmint, since most of its medallions were sports-related. Although designated as a series, this appears to be the only round issued for the series.

Obverse: The obverse features a native Indian chief in full headdress. Text along the rim to the right reads "ONE TROY OZ .999 FINE SILVER".

Reverse: The reverse depicts a heraldic eagle with a shield, an olive branch in the right talon, and arrows in the left, all echoing the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle holds a banner in its beak, which is inscribed "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Above the eagle are thirteen five-pointed stars arranged in a circle representing the Thirteen Colonies. The upper inscription reads "ENVIROMINT", while the lower one states "AMERICAN MEDALLION SERIES". A copyright inscription reading "©1992 ENVIROMINT" is located beneath the eagle.
