1986 1 Oz Sunshine Mint CCPMA Prospector Round BU

The California Coin and Precious Metals Association was formed in 1985 and ceased operations in 2001. In 1986, it commissioned a round to advertise its services. The round was minted by the Sunshine Minting Corporation.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is a prospector with a pickaxe and a gold pan. The outer circle contains the date of "1986" No other inscriptions are present on the obverse. 

Reverse: The reverse depicts a silver bar with a Morgan dollar motif. Underneath the coin is the name of the organization "CALIFORNIA COIN & PRECIOUS METALS ASSOCIATION". the composition of "999+ FINE SILVER" is inscribed to the left and the weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" can be found on the right.  The mint mark initials "SMC" are inscribed at the bottom underneath the silver bar image.
