Obverse: The obverse features a beautiful design of an eagle with wings spread out wide, soaring across the setting sun. Sunrays radiate from the sun.  The word "SUNSHINE" is inscribed at the top and is matched by "MINTING" inscribed below the central image.

Reverse: The primary feature of the reverse is the sunburst, the center of which contains the "SI" mint mark. The imprint is used to verify the authenticity of a Sunshine Mint product with the help of a decoder lens. Sun rays expand outward from the center. The weight of "HALF TROY OUNCE" is inscribed at the top while the purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" can be found below.
