1976 1/2 Oz Liberty Coin Club Bicentennial Round BU

The Liberty Coin Club was founded in 1967 and is located in West Haven, Connecticut.  They are an active club and routinely host shows in the New Haven area. In 1976, they issued this round celebrating the US Bicentennial.  

Obverse: The obverse features continental soldiers marching off to battle. Two of them carry drums while one carries a flag and plays the fife. The words "UNITED STATES" are inscribed at the top of the round and are matched by the word "BICENTENNIAL" at the bottom. The dates "1776-1976" are inscribed immediately below the central image.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is walking liberty, loosely patterned after the walking liberty half. To the left of the image, the ANA number of the club is inscribed while the founding date of the club can be found at the right. The outer circle of the round bears the phrases "LIBERTY COIN CLUB, INC.", "WEST HAVEN", and "CONNECTICUT". The phrases are separated by stars.

Edge: The edge is smooth. The edge at the bottom of the round bears the composition of ".999 FINE SILVER".
