1976 1/2 Oz Tri State Refining Eagle/Bell Round BU

Rare fractional from the 1970s.

Obverse: The obverse of the round is a common style on several rounds from 1976.  It contains an eagle flying while clutching an olive branch with 13 leaves.  The Liberty Bell is located to the left of the eagle, and 13 stars can be found to its right.  The inscription above the central image is "1776-1976", the bicentennial year, while the phrase "GOD BLESS AMERICA" is found below it. 

Reverse: The central feature of the reverse is a phrase denoting the purity weight and content of the round. It reads as follows from top to bottom "HALF 1/2 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER".  Inscribed above that, around the top edge, is the phrase "FINEST PURITY HONEST WEIGHTS". The name of the mint "TRI-STATE REFINING" is inscribed along the lower edge.
