Description

Golden State Mint produces many fractional rounds. The prospector paired with the decimal reverse is uncommon.

Obverse: The obverse features a prospector kneeling beside a stream panning for gold. The name of the mint, "GOLDEN STATE MINT" is inscribed above the image.

Reverse: The reverse depicts the decimal ".50" inscribed with large letters. The upper specifies the weight of "ONE HALF TROY OUNCE". The lower inscription reads "ASSAYED .999+ FINE SILVER".
