2018 1/2 Oz Canada Polar Bear BU

Obverse: The obverse of the 2018 Canadian Polar Bear 1/2 Oz Silver Coins features Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is depicted here in a right-profile design created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt. The image of the Queen is featured on all Canadian coinage and is the fourth-generation effigy of Elizabeth II on Canadian coins during her reign.

Reverse: On the reverse is a powerful male polar bear. This massive beast stands at the edge of an ice shelf as icy Arctic waters beckon below. The background depicts a mountainous terrain leading down toward the water's edge. Inscriptions around the central image read "CANADA 2018", "FINE SILVER", "1/2 OZ", and "ARGENT PUR". The purity of the coin is inscribed in the design field, and radial lines are present throughout the edge of the outer design field.
