2016 1 Oz Canada Birds of Prey Peregrine Falcon PF

Reverse Proof with limited mintage. Fields are frosted and the Queen and Peregrine falcon have a mirror finish.

Obverse: The obverse depicts the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt. The name of the monarch  "ELIZABETH II" is inscribed at the top. The denomination and year of mintage of "5 DOLLARS 2016" is located at the bottom.

Reverse: The reverse displays a finely detailed peregrine falcon, with wings spread high and talons ready to clutch fresh prey. The purity of ".9999" is found just below the central image while the weight and composition inscription of "FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR" is rendered in both English and French. Arched above the bird is the country of issue, "CANADA". The artist's initials, "ED" (Emily Damstra) are to the lower left at the tip of the bird's tail feathers.
