1 Oz Sunshine Mint SS Gairsoppa Round BU

These rounds were minted with silver recovered from the SS Gairsoppa shipwreck.  The ship was sunk in 1941 during World War II. Rare collectible round!

Obverse: The obverse features an image of the ship steaming through the ocean.  Text beneath the image reads "SS GAIRSOPPA / SUNK FEBRUARY 17, 1941".

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a circle containing the text "CERTIFIED GAIRSOPPA SHIPWRECK SILVER". The composition of ".999 FINE SILVER" is located above the central text while the weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" can be found below it.
