1 Oz Bates Lodge Masonic Easley SC Round BU

The Bates Masonic Lodge in Easley, SC commissioned this round. The date, mintage, and mint are unknown and the content doesn't indicate the reason for the minting. The round does have a limited mintage and is quite rare.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse features the Bates Masonic temple in Easley, SC.  Underneath the temple are various masonic symbols. The upper inscription reads "BATES LODGE NO. 189 AHM, INC." while the lower inscription references the location of "EASLEY, SOUTH CAROLINA". 

Reverse: The central circle on the reverse also contains a variety of masonic symbols. They include arches, pillars, Noah's ark, the Bible, an hourglass, a scepter, and an anchor. Circumscribing the central images is a text that reads "RESPECT FOR THE PAST CONFIDENCE IN THE FUTURE". 

Edge: The edge is smooth but contains a 3-digit serial number at the bottom.
