Motifs suggest that this round was minted in the 1970s. The shield reverse exists paired with a 1974 Silver Bullion Exchange obverse. Nothing is known of the mint, mintage, or reasons for mintage.
Obverse: The obverse features an eagle bearing a star on its chest perched on a rock. Text spaced around the rim reads "ONE SILVER MONARK".
Reverse: The reverse depicts a shield similar to the design on the Shield Nickel. A banner over the shield contains the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST". The phrase "SILVER MONARK" arches across the top. The purity of ".999 FINE" is located just below the shield. The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" can be found at the lower left, with the composition of "PURE SILVER" at the lower right.
