Alabama is one of the premier collegiate football teams with several national championship titles. This round was issued in 1993 to commemorate the 1992 NCAA Football Champions Alabama Crimson Tide. The mintage and the mint which produced the round are unknown. The round is rarely seen.
Obverse: The central image on the obverse is the logo for Alabama. It consists of an elephant stepping through the letter "A". An upper inscription bears the weight purity, and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER". Underneath the logo is the name "ALABAMA".
Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the text which reads "1992 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS / ALABAMA - 34 / MIAMI - 13". The upper inscription states "JAN 1, 1993 SUGAR BOWL". A football is shown at the bottom with floral decorations on either side.
