Description
The National Corvette Homecoming is an annual event hosted by the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Silvertowne minted rounds for several of its National Homecoming celebrations. Many of the rounds are serial-numbered, and while the mintage is unknown, all are rare.
Obverse: The obverse features corvettes from 1962, 1972, 1982, and 1992 within an inner circle. Underneath the images is the text "BOWLING GREEN, KY 1992". The National Corvette Museum is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The phrase "NATIONAL CORVETTE" arches across the top in the outer circle. The lower inscription "HOMECOMING" completes the upper one.
Reverse: The design on the reverse is the commonly seen blank engravable back. The center circle contains no markings or engravings and is intended to provide a space for secondary market engraving. Scrollwork decorates the outer edge. The weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" can be found at the top. A 3-digit serial number is inscribed towards the bottom.
