1991 1 Oz Enviromint Duke NCAA Basketball Champions Round PF

Minted by Chicagoland Processing Corporation (CPC), which held MLB and NFL rights for commemorative medals during that era. Issued to commemorate the Duke University NCAA basketball championship. Five rounds were minted in the series, one for each of the four colleges in the Final Four (Duke, UNLV, Kansas, and North Carolina). The fifth round was minted to commemorate the champion, Duke University. Duke won back-to-back championships in 1991 and 1992. Silver rounds were minted for both years, but the 1991 silver round is tougher to find.

Obverse: The obverse design features the Duke University Blue Devil logo. The name "DUKE UNIVERSITY" is inscribed at the bottom. Along the rim to the left is the word "NATIONAL" that is completed on the right with "CHAMPIONSHIP".

Reverse: The reverse features the logo for the Final Four NCAA basketball tournament held in Indianapolis. The "1 TROY OZ" weight is inscribed along the rim at the upper left. The composition of ".999 FINE SILVER" is located along the rim at the upper right. The phrase "LIMITED EDITION" is inscribed at the bottom. 

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a smooth space at the bottom containing a 4-digit serial number.
