1987 1 Oz California Crown Mint Hanukkah Dreidel Round BU

This round was issued by CCM around 1987 to celebrate the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. It has no markings which indicate either the specific mint or the date minted but there is an advertisement from 1987 attributing it to Crown Mint. The mintage is unknown. Very rare round!

Obverse: The obverse features an inset Star of David with 36 Hanukkah candles and an oil lamp. The engraved lines surrounding the star of David are raised which allows them to catch the light. No inscriptions are present on the obverse. 

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a pair of dreidels. A series of dots encircle them along the outer edge. The weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" is micro-inscribed at the bottom. The initials "A • SH" are inscribed by the dreidel on the right.
