1 Oz California Crown Mint Eagle/Scrollwork Round BU

This round pairs one of CCM's classic eagle obverses with a Type 2 scrollwork reverse. The Type 1 Reverse has no scrollwork on the engraved lines. The scrollwork is present on the Type 2 reverse. Very rare CCM silver round!

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is an eagle depicted in front of the Liberty Bell. Inscribed above the image is "AMERICA AMERICA".  The lower inscription bears the weight, purity, and content of "ONE OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER".  A star on either side separates the upper and lower inscriptions. No mint mark is present, but this is a design used by CCM. 

Reverse: The focal point of the reverse is inscribed text indicating the content, weight, and purity. The inscription "ONE TROY OUNCE 999 FINE SILVER" is written across four lines in the center of the round. Some scrollwork has been placed above the inscription. A circle of finely engraved lines surrounds the central inscription. No mint mark is present on the reverse, but this reverse is known to have been used with other CCM rounds.
