1984 1 Oz California Crown Mint Alaska Statehood Round BU

Many companies commissioned rounds to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Alaska's statehood. This is the round minted by CCM for the occasion. A 1 Oz bar of similar design was also minted. While the mintage is unknown, the rounds are uncommon.

Obverse: The obverse depicts the rustic scene of a wooden house built on stilts. Moose antlers hang above the doorway. A pine can be seen at the left, with a cloud-covered mountain range in the background. The phrase "NORTH TO THE FUTURE" arches across the top.  

Reverse: The reverse features the Alaskan state map with the name "ALASKA" superimposed.  The phrase "SILVER ANNIVERSARY EDITION" arches across the top. The weight and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE PURE SILVER" is inscribed immediately below. The purity of ".999 FINE" is located underneath the map. The bottom inscription reads "1959 • 1984".
