1 Oz Golden State Mint Prospector Trade Round BU

Nice vintage collectible bullion round. 

Obverse: The obverse features a prospector kneeling beside a stream panning for gold. Eight stars are found along the rim below the image.  The name of the mint "GOLDEN STATE MINT" is inscribed above the image.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the scales, an image found on many trade unit silver rounds. At the top edge the phrase "THE INTERNATIONAL" is inscribed and is continued at the bottom with "WORLD TRADE UNIT". The content "ONE TROY OUNCE" is inscribed immediately below the top inscription. The scales are flanked by sprigs of ivy on either side. Underneath the left scale the weight "31.1 GRAMS" is inscribed which is matched by "480 GRAINS" located beneath the right arm of the scale. The base of the scale contains the name "CALIFORNIA MINT".
