2020 1 Oz Golden State Mint Lunar Rat Round BU

Golden State Mint began its version of the Lunar series in 2013. The Lunar Rat is the 8th in the series. 

Obverse: The obverse features two rats exploring and sniffing about. The Chinese symbol for the rat is found on the left while the weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" is located on the right. The upper left inscription around the rim states "YEAR OF THE RAT" while the upper right inscription denotes the purity and content of “.999 FINE SILVER”. The name of the mint “GOLDEN STATE MINT” is found at the bottom.

Reverse: The obverse is taken up with an attractive wheel design that depicts all twelve animals, along with their Chinese symbol. The animals represented in the Chinese zodiac are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. No inscriptions are found on the obverse.
